Year 7 learners will be developing their understanding of the 3 leading areas of Science.  In Biology the learners will develop knowledge of Cells, Organs and Systems before looking at Organisms & Environmental Relationships. Physics will allow the learners to explore Space and the Solar System, we will then look at Light and Sound, finishing on Electrical Circuits. Chemistry will allow the learners the prospect to discover the colourful world of Acids and Alkalis before they delve into States of Matter. We will finish the year with an engaging STEM project. The learners will advance skills to plan, develop and reflect through the medium of a full investigation and develop their literacy and numeracy expertise through challenging classroom activities.

Year 8 learners will be progressing their understanding of the 3 leading areas of Science.  In Biology the learners will develop familiarity of biological processes before considering Reproduction. Health and disease finishes off KS3 Biology. Physics will allow the learners to discover Forces, leading then to the mesmerising world of Magnetism. Chemistry will allow the learners the prospect to discover the diverse area of Materials, before they delve into Elements, Compounds and Mixtures and the periodic table. Chemistry will also see the learners develop understanding of Chemical Changes and how to identify them. We will finish the year with an engaging STEM project. The learners will advance skills to plan, develop and reflect through the medium of a full investigation and develop their literacy and numeracy expertise through challenging classroom activities. Year 8 is an inspiring platform to prepare for GCSE Science success.
